I.A.F.T Training Programs
The Crime Scene Technology Series consists of three separate 40-hour workshops beginning with comprehensive hands-on training, continuing with a practical team approach to scene reconstruction and ending with techniques of evidence processing and blood pattern reconstruction. Each workshop combines the latest techniques for the crime scene process, utilizing a wide spectrum of powders, chemicals, light sources and casting materials with emphasis on preservation, documentation, enhancement and collection of all evidence including bloodstains and patterns.
Bloodstain Evidence Workshops consist of two 40-hour programs. Bloodstain workshop 2 requires completion of a "Basic 40-hour workshop to attend. This program is an in-depth review of stains and patterns. Students will provide documentation through reports and diagrams to correlate stains and patterns with body trauma. They will be presented with actual case studies for analysis.
Forensic Digital Photography Workshop provides a comprehensive team approach to training starting with the fundamental aspects of digital photography and camera function as a tool, progressing to advanced lighting techniques, night photography and difficult applications in crime scene documentation. Effective courtroom presentation is stressed.
