The Blue laser module is designed for use with the Pathfinder LT Laser Trajectory Kit. This laser emits an output power that is less than 5mW. It is a Class IIIA Laser according to CDHR standards with minimal variant. It has a wave length of 420nm +/- 10nm. NOTE: Standard Laser Pointers are made by press fitting a laser module into the battery housing. Our laser modules are NOT press fit and are specifically designed to keep the beam aligned with the housing. FOR EXAMPLE: If the laser is pointing at wall ten feet away at an angle of 30 degrees from the floor, the spot should be at a height of 5.77 feet. If the laser is misaligned by 5 degrees, the actual angle is 35 degrees and the spot is at a height of 7 feet. If the laser is misaligned by 10 degrees, the spot appears at a height of 8.4 feet. - When hand holding a laser to point to something on the wall, misalignment may be corrected by rotating your hand until the spot is where you want it. This is the reason manufacturers are not very concerned about misalignment.
- Alignment may be checked by rolling the laser pointer across a flat surface such as a table top and the spot will sweep out a curved path on the wall - the greater the curvature, the worse the alignment. By holding the laser stationary and rotating it, the spot will make a circle on the wall.
